This has been quite a packed last two weeks. First, Josh Penry dropped out of the gubernatorial race. Then, Tom Tancredo started spreading rumors that he would run against Scott McInnis. Now it seems as though a new agreement is surfacing, outlining the platform that McInnis will run on. This agreement, called a Contract for Colorado will supposedly allow both Penry and Tancredo to publicly back McInnis. This is an incredibly wise move, and I am very happy that all three former, prospective, and current candidates could come together and solve this near crisis. If they had not done this, Penry leaving the campaign would have been completely in vain. Tancredo would have jumped in and still have prolonged the primary process. Though I may not have done the same thing, I respect Penry for realizing that Conservative principles are more important than his own ambitions.
PS: The Contract for Colorado includes school vouchers, an issue near and dear to my heart.
